"A good beginning promises a good ending."

The archaic beauty of Africa serves as the inspiration for the extraordinary carpet collection of the Legends of Carpets by Walter Knoll. Abstract paintings were created based on photographs of joint travels by Walter Knoll CEO Markus Benz and his artist friend and textile designer Helmut Scheufele. These were later translated into carpet designs. The carpets are hand-dyed and hand-knotted in manufactories in the Himalayas according to centuries-old traditions under fair working conditions and using environmentally friendly production methods.
