In Japan there is an interesting flower, the “Sankayou” flower, which is only found in a few mountainous regions.
The petals of this flower only become transparent when they are exposed to dew at low temperatures and high humidity, making them look like fine glass.
This inspiration from Japanese designer Ryosuke Fukusada is reflecting the art of this luminaire.
The structure is made of metal with fused bronze or smoked glass with the option of hanging several luminaires on a cable to create lighting arrangements for staircases.
